Challenge
Mesa Rústica was founded by a couple passionate about home cooking who, over time, found their own identity in roasted dishes: slow cooking, fresh spices, and textures that can’t be achieved any other way. That method ended up becoming their hallmark, allowing them to offer aromatic and hearty dishes where artisanal craftsmanship and warmth combine to invite guests to share. The challenge was to position Mesa Rústica among other roasted food businesses without losing the deeply personal identity that its two owners had built.
Solution
I thought of calligraphy as a starting point: handmade cuisine also leaves its own mark, almost like a signature from the person who prepares it. That’s why I combined the two styles into an original handwritten typeface, one capable of reflecting the deep connection and personal touch they feel for their work and for every dish that comes out of that kitchen.
