Frequently Asked Questions
Currently, AI-generated logos fall into a legal gray area, so they can be registered but lack certain protections. This depends on the country where you live.
On the other hand, AI may have the graphic expertise, but what it lacks is the strategic reasoning needed from a professional to understand what you really need. AI can give you what you want, but is that really what your business needs?
Personally, I don’t judge any business that wants to create its logo using AI. Often it’s out of necessity and a lack of budget, which is why I encourage businesses to invest in their brand whenever possible.
1. Why should I hire a logo design expert if AI can do it?
My services focus on visual expression, increasing the perceived value of the brand, and faciliating communication. I do not handle other aspects of branding, such as verbal communication, positioning strategy, brand personality, or research into purpose, mission, vision, and values.
2. Do you do Branding?
The process we’ll carry out involves two important elements: time and your repeated approvals. Throughout the process, you’ll have the final say on how to proceed with the information I suggest; in cases where we don’t find common ground, we’ll talk about it until we do. Time is important because, over the course of several days, you’ll slowly be able to assess whether the solutions we’re working on convince you. That’s why it’s important to offer alternatives—if one doesn’t quite work out, we’ll set it aside and explore the others.
All of this combined guarantees a final result that you’ll be excited to use.
3. What if I don't like the final result?
Upon completion of the project, all ownership and usage rights are transferred to you, allowing you to reuse, edit, modify, or register the new design as needed. I retain the copyright to the work and may use it in self-promotional materials such as my portfolio or marketing materials. If a NDS needs to be signed, this must be clarified in advance.
4. Do I own the rights to the design?
I can handle all aspects of the website's visual design through my comprehensive visual identity service, using static or low-fidelity designs. I do not handle website development.
5. Do you design websites?
In simple terms, the strategy consists of the rules that will define the design. It is imperative to develop it properly because it can be used to guide all the graphic design work that follows.
6. But what is the strategy you mention?
In branding in general, there are stereotypes.
Certain audiences are drawn to these stereotypes, so creating a logo that aligns with your goals is of vital importance because you may, or may not, align with those stereotypes. If this isn’t clear, you’ll end up with a confusing brand, and a confusing brand is more likely to lead to unnecessary expenses.
All of this is defined by the strategy.
7.1 How can I benefit from an appropriate logo?
Rather than categorizing a logo as good or bad, the ideal way to measure its success is to determine how appropriate it is.
7. So what makes a good logo?
This will depend on the current situation of your business or company. There are more obvious signs that can help you determine whether it’s really worth it or not, but if the investment stems from a need to safeguard your business for the future, then yes—your future self will thank you for your foresight. Why? Because the more your business grows, the more expensive it will be to replace the logo if it turns out not to be the right one.
